What should we do before iOS 6.1.3 release
Evasi0n Untethered Jailbreak Will Not Work On iOS 6.1.3!!!
Like most of the jailbreak community, Notcom is warning users with jailbroken devices not to update to iOS 6.1.3 when it is released because it is rumored to kill the evasi0n jailbreak. He posted on his blog, “Make sure you don’t update to 6.1.3 when it drops. I wasn’t able to get 6.1.3 beta included (I just got too busy). But if you desire to keep your jailbreak, avoid 6.1.3 like the plague.”
So We have two suggestions for you:
1、Use TinyUmbrella or Cydia to backup your SHSH blobs
The newest version (TinyUmbrella v6.12.00) allows you to save SHSH blobs of the newest update of iOS which is iOS 6.1.2. That means that you can save blobs for every iOS version except iOS 6.1.3 which is currently in beta.
2、Don’t update to iOS 6.1.3 until there is a working jailbreak released for it
First and foremost, if you’re currently running the iOS 6.1 jailbreak, you need to know that the evasi0n jailbreak is not compatible with iOS 6.1.3. Apple has patched the exploits used to jailbreak the firmware so evasi0n will not work for the new update. This is important for jailbreakers to know because upgrading to iOS 6.1.3 will kill your device’s jailbreak.
If you accidentally upgrade to 6.1.3, you can use the backup file restore to the old firmware by TinyUmbrella If you have backup by it!!!
